Blake & Brooke

The snow is finally melted and the official first day of spring is only a few days away. It feels like spring is already here.

Here is an image from a real quick session from yesterday. I’ll post a few more from this session in the next couple of days, so be sure to check back.

And don’t forget to check out their engagement session from this past fall.

Innocence

Every now and then an image really speaks to me.  I took this one last year, and I come back to it over and over again.  It’s a reminder of having a clean slate, that is easily tarnished by the day to day activities we experience, and the choices we make.

Being 28,  I’ve realized that life is finally catching up to me.  Consequences always follow choice.   The small things really do add up, and all the small consequences are really setting in.

Every now and then I need to take a moment,  put life aside, and find a new direction in order to strive towards innocence and purity.  Those are two ideals I’ll never fully obtain, but it certainly can’t hurt trying to reach them.

They seem so far away right now.

Goodbye Winter

I’m sitting in my bedroom waiting to go pick up my daughter from daycare. The sump pump in my basement is going off like crazy and I’m actually pleased by the sound of this.

The ground is thawing, the days are getting longer, and people are coming out of their houses. Things are good.

Hibernation is coming to an end.

Meet and Greet

This was one of my favorite images from Andy and Tiffany’s wedding a couple weeks ago. I wanted to re-post this image because I felt like it got lost in the stream of their pictures.

I’m also testing adding this black border to the image to make it pop.

That’s all, have a nice day.
